Four NFL Teams Give Up Home Games To Play In London

Do you like when your favorite NFL team plays in London? Well each year, the NFL has moved more teams in more games to London. I understand the NFL has a big following across the pond and they are looking to build more of a presence worldwide in the years to come. However, the trip alone to London wears a team out and the jet lag alone is not good on any team in the middle of a 16 game long season. I think they should at least schedule the game later in the day, so the players can stay on a more routine schedule.

NFL fans might not like their beloved teams losing a home game, to see their team go all the way to London. Especially if their teams go all the way to London and lose, that would not be good at all. The Jaguars, Dolphins, Browns and Rams will give up home games next season so that the NFL can play four games in London for the first time. Looking at these teams, only the Dolphins are over 500 this year, so maybe in the future they could get some better teams to London. I think it would be a better idea for the NFL to concentrate on a country a little closer to the USA, like our friends to the south, in Mexico.

At the end of the day, the NFL is a business and there must be some big money involved in the deals that are sending NFL teams to London. As far as the players go, some are for going to London and others are very against it. No matter what, the NFL will never be able to make everyone happy. I am anxious to see what the next few years in London have in store for the NFL, and the players and fans on each team that have to travel there. Most fans are not happy at all, because they will not want to miss their beloved teams at home with a chance to go see them.

The Jaguars have a longtime commitment to playing one “home” game a year in London, and the Rams agreed to play one “home” game a year in London while their new stadium in Los Angeles is being built. The Dolphins agreed to play a “home” game in London, when the league awarded the 2020 Super Bowl to Miami. The Browns may simply have agreed to go to London because they know they’re in a rebuilding mode and will struggle to fill their stadium anyways. The NFL will wait to see when the full schedule is released in a few months, to see the other teams that will be heading to London to compete against these four.
