Tom Brady Throws For 60,000 Yards

Football |

When you start to talk about quarterback Tom Brady, you realize there is not too many things he can't do on the football field. Last Sunday, he accomplished another amazing feat in throwing for over 60,000 yards in his career. Not many quarterbacks can ever say they have thrown for that many yards ever, and especially one that is not at the end of his career yet like Brady. Even being suspended the first 4 games of this season, Brady was still able to accomplish throwing for over 60,000 yards in his career. It is another milestone in his already Hall of Fame career he has established. Patriots’ fans everywhere celebrated last Sunday after Brady threw for over 60,000.

Tom Brady becomes only the 5th quarterback all time to ever throw for more than 60,000 yards in a career. When you think of all the amazing quarterbacks who have played and won championships in the NFL, it is hard to believe that only 5 hit this mark. Brady surely will be breaking many more records before his lustrous career is finally said and done. Fans in New England have been witnessing him do this year in and year out, since he came into the starting role for the Patriots. In a way, this is kind of a slap in the face of the NFL commissioner as well. He was on Brady's case all off season for the deflate gate that happened a few years ago.

Brady his coming up on the NFL touchdown record now as well, and it is in his grasp. Brady has 60,027 yards for his career, which leaves him behind only Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Dan Marino and Drew Brees. The touchdown was No. 445, which is good for fourth place all-time behind Manning, Favre and Brees. With both Manning and Favre retired, he will be chasing Brees and the two will go down as two of the top quarterbacks to ever play the game. Brady was very proud of his huge accomplishment, but in similar Brady fashion, he did not act too excited at all.

This is a great thing that Brady accomplished, but he knows nothing feels the same as winning another Super Bowl. Just like his head coach, Brady said the most important thing to him this season is making the playoffs and going to the Super Bowl. Surely if the Patriots keep up their play, they will be heading to the playoffs again this season. Brady was not even 100% for the game against the Jets and it showed all day long. However, at the end of the game, Brady got the new record and the Patriots won the game. Brady said winning ball games is more important to him than any personal record he can accomplish.
